Heliophobia ← Back to: Heliophobia (from Greek heliophobia, "sun") is the fear of the, or any. HeliophobiaContentsCauses[ TEN ] This phobia, like all phobias, originates from a traumatic experience in the past, like a severe sunburn. The Pacific Health Center suggested that these people have been kept away from sunlight due to growing fears of skin cancer. This is not technically heliophobia, but simply an unfounded and illogical solution. If you include one of being harmed by sun exposure or bright lights, you can also cause heliophobia. It should be noted that the forms of heliophobia based on such irrational fears can cause the sufferer to develop eventually to or by association, since the fear of bright light can significantly limit the places that a heliophobic can visit comfortably, as well as prevent that person from going out during the day, when most other people are active. Other medical conditions such as (an eye disorder that gives rise to extreme optical sensitivity to sunlight and bright lights) and , which makes the skin excessively sensitive to sunlight to the point of causing blisters, can result in heliophobia if the person suffers begins to associate pain and discomfort with bright lights. Effects[ TEN ]The sufferers can be covered with long clothes, protective or wearing a sunshade when going outdoors during the day, or simply never go outdoors at all when the sun is out, depending on the severity of fear. Since the sick remain indoors more than the unsufficiency, it will make them more likely to become vitamin D deficient, as well as depression caused by a combination of vitamin D deficiency, isolation and feelings of alienation from other people, and a continually dark environment. However, a vitamin deficiency can be helped by taking vitamin D supplements or by eating fortified vitamin D foods. Symptoms[ Silence ]The symptoms of heliophobia depend on the person. Mild patients may feel uncomfortable, shaved, nauseous or numb. Serious patients may feel anxious or suffer panic attacks. Other symptoms include increased senses, lack of focus, feeling trapped, irregular heartbeat, air hunger, quick breathing, brown mouth, sweat, muscle cramps and physical discomfort that is not really caused by body injury, but it is a physical manifestation of panic and fear that heliophobia experienced when exposed to light. This physical pain can be expressed, for example, as a ghost feeling of your skin burns under direct sunlight, even when it is visually evident that your skin is not really burning more than healthy skin as a result of sun exposure, but yet it still feels like real pain for the sufferer. Treatment[ Ø ] Heliophobia can be treated using , , self-help techniques, , , and relaxation techniques. For people who are severely heliophobic, anti-anitarian meditation is a recommended way of treatment. · (temor of the cosmos) · Heliophobia (sunflower fear) · (temor of the cosmic phenomenon) · (temor of the black holes) · (temor of the meteors) · (moon fear) · (temor of the stars) · (temor of outer space) · (wet fear) · (wet fear) · (wet fear) Fan Feed
